Are they out of the LOOP?
A new scheme to reduce plastic waste from your grocery shop is due to roll out across the United Kingdom next month. The ambitious new online service- called LOOP (https://loopstore.com/) has already been running in the states and France, and they plan to expand to Canada, Germany and Japan.
LOOP sells refillable containers of standard products. It is backed by big brands like Unilever and PepsiCo, and will sell everything from toothpaste to Tropicana. Once you have used the product the empty containers will be collected from your doorstep, cleaned and reused up to a hundred times.
